Minecraft & Virtual Worlds

I’ve recently become interested in finding out more about Minecraft and how I could integrate this into teaching and learning in Science. I purchased an account and my user name is Fedsie. I took part in a couple of Minecraft jams with some DEC teachers and a year 10 student who facilitated the activity. During one of these sessions I learned how to change my skin.

The other area of interest is in using Virtual Worlds. I’ve attended a few virtual world conferences (in Second Life) and a full-day workshop in Sydney this year that investigated using SOAS (Sim-on-a-Stick).
